Product Information

This Perrin rear shifter bushing is a must - have upgrade for your Subaru. It fits 2002 - 2014 WRX, 2004 - 2021 STI, 2004 - 2013 Forester XT, 2005 - 2009 Legacy GT, and 2005 - 2009 Outback XT (manual transmissions only). Made of 88a Durometer Polyurethane, it reduces the loose or sloppy feel during gear changes. You'll feel a stronger connection between the shifter and the transmission. Installation is a breeze, taking about 30 minutes, and an installation guide is included. Replace the soft rubber bushing on the back of the shifter rod with this stiffer Perrin bushing for a better driving experience.

Using the Perrin rear shifter bushing is simple. First, make sure your car's engine is off and the parking brake is engaged. Then, follow the included installation guide to remove the old soft rubber bushing on the back of the shifter rod. After that, install the new Perrin bushing in its place. It should fit snugly. When driving, you'll notice a more responsive shifter. As for maintenance, check the bushing periodically for any signs of wear or damage. If you see cracks or excessive wear, it's time to replace it. Remember, this product is only for manual transmissions, so don't try to use it on an automatic vehicle.
