Part #: TIC - 1001 - 01 - 0002. The 04 - 05 STi linkage bushings were a hit, but Subaru tweaked the dimensions in 2006, making the old bushings a no - go. Bummer! But here's the good news: we've got new bushings that fit all 2006 manual - transmission Subarus, both 6MT and 5MT. These aren't Kartboy bushings. They're designed for the shifter u - joint (or trunnion). They eliminate side - to - side slop that causes mis - shifting. These Turn In Concepts shift linkage bushings are easy to install. First, refer to the instructions similar to those for the 04 - 05 bushings. If you have a 5MT model, you can skip dealing with the lockout cable. When using your Subaru, these bushings will keep your shifting smooth by getting rid of side - to - side slop. As for maintenance, there's not much to do. Just keep an eye on them during regular car check - ups.
