Product Information

ACL's main bearings are crafted from a softer metal. This smart design prevents your crank and engine block from wearing out. A thin oil layer lubricates the connection between the bearings and the crank. This allows the crank to 'float', significantly reducing wear. Proper support from the main bearings is essential. It stops oscillations and wear that can damage the crankshaft and other parts when the motor gets out of balance. Bearings with extra oil clearance can handle the stress of high - horsepower motors better. However, they experience more wear during startup. We strongly advise that only experienced professionals buy these. Remember, Subaru main bearings are specific to either a #5 or #3 journal bearing position. This isn't related to the VIN or year. You must know your required bearing position before buying. Engine internals aren't eligible for exchange or return, so double - check what you need.

How to use: Install these main bearings in the #3 thrust bearing position of your Subaru turbo model as per the vehicle's manual. Make sure to check the correct journal bearing position before installation. Note that these are for experienced professionals. Precautions: Only experienced hands should install these bearings. Since they wear more during startup, warm up your engine gently. Don't rev the engine hard right after starting. Maintenance advice: Regularly check the oil level and quality. Clean or replace the oil filter as recommended. Keep an eye on the engine's performance. If you notice any strange noises or vibrations, it might be time to inspect the bearings.
