Product Information

The AEM Performance Cold Air Intake System boosts your vehicle's horsepower and torque. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing. Designed, tuned, and dyno - tested for specific models, this system draws air through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter. This filter offers excellent airflow, filtration, and performance. It sits in the original air box space, protected by a heat shield that lowers intake air temperature and increases power. The air intake tube is made of mandrel - bent aluminum with a durable gunmetal gray powder - coated finish. It's designed to work with the engine's factory emissions control devices like the mass airflow sensor and breather tube. The tapered cylinder AEM Dryflow air filter is oil - free and synthetic, lasting up to 100,000 miles before cleaning (depending on driving conditions). It's easy to install with common tools and comes with AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Note that some AEM air intakes aren't legal in California and states with similar emission standards, while others are 50 - state legal. Check vehicle applications for legal status. Part #: 21 - 856C. NOT LEGAL FOR SALE OR USE IN CALIFORNIA ON ANY EMISSION CONTROLLED MOTOR VEHICLE.

Using this AEM cold air intake system is quite straightforward. First, gather commonly available tools and start the installation process. You'll be replacing your vehicle's old air filter and intake housing with this new system. Make sure to place the air filter in the original air box space and install the heat shield to protect it. The intake tube should be properly attached and aligned with the engine's emissions control devices. As for maintenance, the AEM Dryflow air filter can last up to 100,000 miles before it needs cleaning, but this depends on your driving conditions. Keep an eye on its performance and clean it when you notice a drop in airflow. Also, remember that this product might not be legal for use in California and other states with strict emission standards, so always check the legal status for your vehicle before use.
