Wet the back of the protector, you can add a bit of soap. This lets you slide the vinyl around. To make it stick firmly, use heat. Focus on the lead edge as it's the visible part. Use a hair dryer or heat gun, but start with small amounts of heat. Center the overlay and push out the water/soap with your fingers, no squeegees to avoid scratches. If any issues pop up after installation, use heat right away. Over time, the bond gets stronger and the water evaporates.
