Product Information

Part #: 632305CE - 4. Our aftermarket Subaru piston company has leveled up with the new Turbo Tuff lineup for EJ25 engines. Drawing on design improvements from our 'Formula - Won' piston forging, we've crafted the ultimate Subaru piston. It can handle high - boost and high - stress applications while running smoothly and trouble - free for daily drivers. These pistons are made from 2618 alloy, feature an offset wrist pin design, and have a skirt coating. They come with a standard 2.500' x .180' wall premium chrome moly wrist pin (P/N 42346), and 9310 alloy .210' wall pin upgrades are available. Order the EXTREME DUTY part number below. These are equipped with 9310 pins (P/N 42546). Each set includes premium steel top rings, Napier style second rings, and higher tension oil rings for great oil control, along with round wire locks. Recommended clearances are .003' for mildly boosted and .0035' for highly boosted, measured at .850' (79/83mm Strokes) and 1.100' (75mm Stroke) from the bottom of the oil ring groove. Manley Subaru EJ257 pistons now have Napier style second rings and higher tension oil rings (by Total Seal) for better oil control.

Using these Manley pistons is straightforward. First, make sure to check the recommended clearance based on your engine's boost level. For mildly boosted engines, use a clearance of .003', and for highly boosted ones, use .0035'. When installing, be careful with the included components like the wrist pins, rings, and locks. As for maintenance, regularly check the oil level and quality to ensure the pistons are well - lubricated. Also, keep an eye on the engine's performance and listen for any unusual noises. If you notice anything off, it might be time to inspect the pistons. When it comes to storage, keep them in a dry and clean place to prevent rust and damage.
