Product Information

Part #: 632300CE - 4. Our new Turbo Tuff lineup for EJ25 engines takes Manley, the top aftermarket Subaru piston brand, to the next level. By leveraging design improvements from our 'Formula - Won' piston forging, we've crafted the ideal Subaru piston. It can handle high - boost and high - stress situations, and still runs smoothly and trouble - free for daily use. Like all Manley Subaru pistons, these are made of 2618 alloy, feature an offset wrist pin design, have a skirt coating, and come with a standard 2.500' x.180' wall premium chrome moly wrist pin (P/N 42346). You can also upgrade to 9310 alloy.210' wall pins. Order the EXTREME DUTY part number in the column below. These pistons come with 9310 pins (P/N 42546). Each set includes premium steel top rings, Napier style second rings, and higher tension oil rings for excellent oil control, along with round wire locks. Recommended clearances are.003' for mildly boosted engines and.0035' for highly boosted engines, measured.850' (79/83mm Strokes) and 1.100' (75mm Stroke) from the bottom of the oil ring groove. The Manley Subaru EJ257 pistons now use Napier style second rings and higher tension oil rings (by Total Seal) for better oil management.

Using these Manley pistons is straightforward. First, make sure you select the right part number according to your engine's boost level. For mildly boosted engines, follow the.003' clearance recommendation, and for highly boosted ones, use the.0035' clearance. When installing, handle the pistons carefully as they are precision - made. Check the included wrist pins, rings, and locks to ensure they are in good condition. During regular use, keep an eye on your engine's performance. If you notice any unusual noises or changes in power, it might be a sign of an issue. For maintenance, change the engine oil regularly as it helps keep the pistons and other components lubricated. Also, have your engine inspected periodically by a professional to catch any potential problems early.
