Using these turbo blankets is easy. Just fit them onto your Subaru WRX/STI turbocharger or compatible aftermarket turbocharger with internal wastegates. When installing, make sure it's properly positioned. As for the heat, keep in mind the temperature limits. Don't let the interior surface go above 2012°F (1100°C) for short - term or 1832°F (1000°C) for continuous use. The exterior surface shouldn't have direct contact with temperatures over 600°F (316°C) and the radiant heat limit is 1100°F (593°C). For maintenance, check regularly for any signs of wear and tear on the fiberglass outer layer and the internal insulation. If there are any damages, it's best to replace the blanket to ensure its performance.
