Part #: MSI - MSISUB03 - 00 - 010A. The Mooresport Inc. R180 Rear Differential Cover is an absolute masterpiece. It's expertly crafted from a solid block of billet T6 - 6061 aluminum. This 100% CNC - machined part is much stronger than regular cast covers. It comes out of the manufacturing process with a smooth finish, no rough edges at all. The design has multiple set - ups for AN - 08 adapters, which allows you to connect external oil coolers or pumps easily. It also has a standard 1/8 - NPT temperature sensor housing. Other great features include a 1/16' groove for a Viton O - ring cord. You can transfer the factory breather to this new cover, and it can hold 20% more oil than the stock cover.
Using this Mooresport Rear Differential Cover is easy. First, make sure your Subaru STI (2004 - 2021) is turned off and cooled down. Remove the old differential cover carefully. Then, transfer the factory breather to the new cover as it's transferable. Install the new cover in place of the old one. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the oil level as this cover holds 20% more oil than the stock one. If you've connected external oil coolers or pumps using the AN - 08 adapters, inspect the connections for any leaks. Also, check the temperature sensor in the 1/8 - NPT housing to ensure it's working properly. As for the Viton O - ring cord in the 1/16' groove, replace it if you notice any signs of wear.
