Product Information

ACL's main bearings are crafted from a softer metal. This protects your crank and engine block from excessive wear. A thin oil layer lubricates the bearings and crank connection, letting the crank 'float' and cut down on wear. Proper support from these main bearings is vital. It prevents oscillations and wear that can harm the crankshaft and other parts when the engine gets out of balance. Bearings with extra oil clearance can handle the stress of high - horsepower motors better, but they'll experience more wear during startup. We suggest these are only for experienced professionals. Remember, Subaru main bearings are specific to either #5 or #3 journal bearing positions. This isn't based on VIN or year. You need to know it before buying. Engine internals can't be exchanged or returned, so be sure of your needs.

How to use: Install these main bearings carefully in the correct journal bearing position (#5 or #3) as determined for your Subaru Turbo WRX or STI model. Make sure to lubricate them well with oil before starting the engine. Notes: These bearings are for experienced professionals. They have extra oil clearance which is great for high - horsepower motors, but expect more wear at startup. Maintenance: Regularly check the oil level and quality. Low or dirty oil can cause premature wear. If you notice any strange noises or vibrations from the engine, it's a good idea to have the bearings inspected.
