Product Information

ACL's main bearings are crafted from a softer metal, protecting your crank and engine block from wear. A thin oil layer lubricates the bearing - crank connection, letting the crank 'float' and minimizing wear. Proper support from these bearings is vital to prevent oscillations and damage to the crankshaft and other parts as the engine gets out of balance. Bearings with extra oil clearance can handle the stress of high - horsepower motors better, but they'll experience more wear during startup. We suggest these be bought only by experienced pros. Remember, Subaru main bearings are for either #5 or #3 journal bearing positions. The position isn't determined by VIN or year, so you need to know it before buying. Engine internals aren't eligible for exchange or return, so be sure which ones you need.

How to use: Install these main bearings following your engine's repair manual. Make sure to clean all parts thoroughly before installation. When starting the engine, keep an eye on the oil pressure. Note that these bearings with extra oil clearance may wear more during startup. So, start the engine gently and let it warm up properly. Maintenance: Regularly check the oil level and quality. Replace the oil and filter as recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer. Also, inspect the bearings for signs of wear during engine tune - ups. If you're not an experienced professional, it's best to have a mechanic handle the installation and maintenance to avoid any issues.
