Product Information

Part #: COP - 510. This amazing 5 - sided security socket is a must - have for Subaru owners. It enables you to properly assemble and disassemble AVCS cam sprockets, and most importantly, it allows you to clean and flush the internal passages of AVCS cam sprockets. By doing so, it effectively prevents turbo and engine damage in engines with oil contaminants like spun bearings. The 2 - piece construction with a hardened tool steel bit makes it extremely durable. It has a 3/8' drive. This socket works with a wide range of vehicles, including 04 - 16 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, 06 - 14 Subaru Impreza WRX, 04 - 11 Subaru Forester XT, 05 - 10 Subaru Legacy GT, 05 - 10 Subaru Outback XT, 04 - 06 Subaru Baja Turbo, 06 Saab 9 - 2X Aero, and Subaru V7 and V8 EJ207 Engines with Intake AVCS.

Using this socket is easy. First, make sure your vehicle's engine is turned off and cooled down. Then, select the appropriate socket for the AVCS cam sprocket. Insert the 3/8' drive into your tool and attach it to the socket. Now you can start assembling or disassembling the AVCS cam sprocket. When you're done, use the socket to clean and flush the internal passages of the sprocket. As for maintenance, after each use, wipe the socket clean with a dry cloth. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust. And always handle it with care to avoid any damage to the hardened tool steel bit. Also, be sure to check for any signs of wear and tear regularly. If you notice any issues, it might be time to replace the socket.
