Product Information

This Tomei adjustable cam gear is a great choice for Subaru owners. It fits Subaru models with SINGLE AVCS cylinder heads, including 2004 - 2007 STI, 2006 - 2014 WRX, 2005 - 2009 Legacy GT, and 2005 - 2009 Outback XT. It allows you to advance or retard the timing, perfect for those aiming for high - performance on their EJ engines. It's for single AVCS cars and only for the left - hand side. You'll need to buy the right - hand side for a complete installation. Features include an anodized red finish, duralumin construction, and it weighs 480 grams (1.05 lbs). It comes with adjustment screws and is sold individually. You can make +/- 10 degrees of adjustment at the camshaft, which means +/- 20 degrees at the crankshaft. Check out the Tomei Adjustable Cam Gear for the Exhaust RH side too.

Using this Tomei adjustable cam gear is straightforward. First, make sure your Subaru model has a SINGLE AVCS cylinder head as specified in the fitment information. This gear is for the left - hand side, so you'll also need to get the right - hand side for a full installation. To adjust the timing, use the included adjustment screws to advance or retard it according to your needs. You can make up to +/- 10 degrees of adjustment at the camshaft. When installing, follow your vehicle's repair manual for proper procedures. As for maintenance, keep it clean and check the adjustment screws regularly to ensure they're tight. The anodized red finish helps protect it from corrosion, but avoid harsh chemicals. If you notice any issues or abnormal noises, have it checked by a professional mechanic.
