Product Information

Part #: COP - 510. This 5 - sided security socket is a must - have for maintaining your Subaru's AVCS cam sprockets. It enables proper assembly and disassembly of the cam sprockets, allowing you to clean and flush the internal passages. This is crucial as it prevents turbo and engine damage, especially in engines with oil contaminants like spun bearings. Key features include a 5 - sided design for easy cam sprocket work, the ability to clean internal passages, protection against turbo and engine issues, a 2 - piece construction with a hardened tool steel bit for extreme durability, and a 3/8' drive. It's compatible with a wide range of vehicles such as the 04 - 16 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, 06 - 14 Subaru Impreza WRX, 04 - 11 Subaru Forester XT, 05 - 10 Subaru Legacy GT, 05 - 10 Subaru Outback XT, 04 - 06 Subaru Baja Turbo, 06 Saab 9 - 2X Aero, and Subaru V7 and V8 EJ207 Engines with Intake AVCS.

Using this socket is easy. First, make sure your vehicle is turned off and has cooled down. Locate the AVCS cam sprockets. Then, attach the 3/8' drive socket to your appropriate tool. You can use it to carefully disassemble the cam sprockets. Once disassembled, you can clean and flush the internal passages. When you're done, reassemble the cam sprockets. As for maintenance, after each use, wipe the socket clean with a dry cloth. Keep it in a dry place to prevent rust. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, it's best to replace the socket to ensure continued protection for your engine and turbo.
