Product Information

Eagle's Subaru connecting rods are crafted from high - grade forged 4340 steel. They go through a series of strict quality control steps, including x - raying, magnafluxing, sonic testing, and shot - peening, to guarantee top - notch quality and strength. These rods come in weight - matched sets with a precision of within +/- 1 gram end to end. The STI connecting rods are forged in two pieces in China and then sent to the US for final machining and testing. This process results in a cost - effective yet durable and accurate rod. The EJ257 STI rods are equipped with ARP 3/8in 2000 rod bolts, offering great power - handling and boost capabilities. With a rod length of 5.137in, these connecting rods are a great choice for your Subaru. Note that they don't fit OEM Subaru pistons. The part number is CRS5137S3D. Torque them to 43 ft - lbs using only ARP moly lube. Key features include 3/8' ARP 2000 bolts, forged 4340 steel material, a center - to - center length of 5.137', a pin size of 0.906', a pin end width of 0.842', a rod journal of 2.047', a housing bore of 2.165', a big end width of 0.842', a typical weight of 530g, and being bushed for a full - floating piston pin.

Using these Eagle connecting rods is straightforward. First, make sure they are the right fit for your Subaru model. Remember, they don't work with OEM Subaru pistons. When installing, use only ARP moly lube and torque the rods to 43 ft - lbs. This will ensure a proper and secure fit. For maintenance, keep the rods clean and dry. Check them regularly for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, it's best to replace them promptly to avoid potential engine problems. With proper use and care, these connecting rods will serve you well for a long time.
