Product Information

Eagle's Subaru connecting rods are crafted from high - quality 4340 steel. They go through a series of strict quality checks including x - raying, magnafluxing, sonic testing, and shot - peening to guarantee top - notch quality and strength. These rods come in weight - matched sets with a weight difference of just +/- 1 gram from end to end. The connecting rods for the STI are forged in two pieces in China and then sent to the US for final machining and testing. This process results in a cost - effective yet durable and precise rod. The EJ257 STI rods from Eagle are equipped with ARP 3/8in 2000 rod bolts, which can handle high power and boost levels effectively. The rod length is 5.137 inches. Part numbers applicable are CRS5137SXD, suitable for EJ205, EJ255, and EJ257 engines.

Using these Eagle connecting rods is straightforward. First, make sure your engine is turned off and cooled down. Carefully install the rods in your Subaru EJ20 or EJ25 engine according to the manufacturer's guidelines. When tightening the ARP 3/8in 2000 rod bolts, use the right torque settings to ensure a proper fit. For maintenance, regularly check the rods for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, replace the rods immediately. Keep the rods clean and dry when not in use. Avoid over - revving your engine as it can put excessive stress on the rods. If you follow these steps, your connecting rods will serve you well for a long time.
