Product Information

Fitment Information: This drain hose kit is a perfect fit for 2002 - 2014 Subaru WRX and 2004 - 2021 Subaru STI. Note that it directly fits your KillerB or Verus AOS system. Other AOS systems might need extra components for installation.Features: Many regular drain hoses are installed almost horizontally or with a very small vertical angle. During acceleration, this stops oil from flowing back to the sump freely. EJ engines also push oil into the heads during heavy cornering, causing excess oil to enter the AOS. The 3MI Racing Drain Hose Kit is designed to replace the turbo drain hose. It lowers the return point by about 4 inches, enhancing oil return in all situations and allowing your AOS to work better. - The hose is made of wrapped silicone with nylon reinforcement and a fluorosilicone (FVMQ) liner, ensuring long - term use with oil. It also comes with an extra - long turbo oil drain hose for rotated turbo kits. The drain hose is marked for cutting for stock - location turbos. - It has a 24 - inch AOS drain hose that fits all common AOS installation locations. Just cut it to the right length. - It includes new stainless hose clips for the turbo drain hose. - An aluminized - fiberglass heat sleeve is provided to protect the AOS drain section from high exhaust heat. In track tests, we found the AOS was acting like an 'oil capacitor', draining only when braking. Secondary cans were catching oil pushed from the AOS or excess oil in vent hoses. We think this was because the AOS had more oil than it was designed for. The new hose helps solve these problems.Installation notes: Installing along the bellhousing is popular and leaves enough space for TMIC or FMIC mounted locations. You can also plumb it in front of the uppipe, under the OEM turbo bracket. What's Included in this Kit: (1) Silicone Drain Hose, (1) Thermal sleeve, (2) Clips. Please note: A single hose adapter from the 7/8 - inch block outlet to the 5/8 - inch vent hose is required for the installation of the IAG Street, IAG Comp, Cobb and Crawford AOS systems. These are available for separate purchase. CLICK HERE FOR: 3MI Racing 3/4 - inch Barbed End to 5/8 - inch Barbed End Hose Adapter

Using this 3MI Racing drain hose kit is quite straightforward. First, check if your vehicle is a 2002 - 2014 Subaru WRX or 2004 - 2021 Subaru STI and if you have a KillerB or Verus AOS system. If you have other AOS systems, be ready to get some extra components. When installing, you can choose to put it along the bellhousing, which gives plenty of space for other parts. Or you can plumb it in front of the uppipe under the OEM turbo bracket. For the drain hose, if you have a rotated turbo kit, use the extra - long one. For stock - location turbos, just cut the marked hose to the right length. Also, don't forget to use the new stainless hose clips and the aluminized - fiberglass heat sleeve to protect the hose from high exhaust heat. If you're installing IAG Street, IAG Comp, Cobb, or Crawford AOS systems, you'll need to buy a single hose adapter separately. As for maintenance, the hose is made to last because of its high - quality materials. But still, it's a good idea to check it regularly for any signs of wear and tear, especially the clips and the heat sleeve. If you notice any problems, replace the parts as needed.
