Using this oil change kit is easy. First, make sure your engine is cool. Locate the oil drain plug on your Subaru EJ engine and place an oil pan underneath. Remove the drain plug and let the old oil drain out completely. Then, take out the old oil filter. Install the new Subaru OEM oil drain plug gasket on the drain plug and put it back in place. Next, install the new Mazda OEM high - capacity oil filter. Finally, pour the 5 - liter Motul 8100 5w30 X - Clean engine oil into the engine. Check the oil level to make sure it's correct.
