Product Information

Part #: 571101. This SFI 18.1 certified performance crankshaft damper is a direct - bolt upgrade for your existing OEM elastomer harmonic balancer, no installation modifications needed. The Fluidampr performance damper offers long - lasting, wide - range protection against harmful crankshaft torsional vibrations that often occur with engine modifications. It lays a solid foundation for better durability and performance. We recommend installing it early in your engine build for the best results. It's perfect for both street car enthusiasts and professional race teams. It's maintenance - free, stays compatible with engine upgrades, and lasts the entire life of your engine, saving you from costly and time - consuming rebuilds or replacements. The design and development of this damper followed the strict ISO 9001:2008 standard, just like the OEM viscous dampers supplied to the aviation and defense industries by Fluidampr's parent company, Vibratech TVD. Starting from engineering research, it was designed with computer simulation software and tested through proprietary computer simulations, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to measure resonance frequency and structural limits. The FEA analysis at 12,500rpm meets nearly four times the safety requirement for professional racing. After computer modeling, it's 3D - printed and sent to top engine builders for fitment verification. Once the design and fitment are verified, functional prototypes are made and product testing begins. The Fluidampr performance damper for 2013 - later FRS/BRZ/GT86 and 2015 Subaru WRX has a six - rib drive pulley and is precision CNC machined from high - grade steel. Both the outer housing and internal inertia ring are high - speed computer zero - balanced at the factory. The pre - drilled 3 - bolt hole pattern on the outer housing can accept an ARE dry sump drive or other accessories with a custom mounting bracket. It has a corrosion - resistant black zinc chromate finish and an engraved timing mark. It's made in the USA. Application Specifications: Housing: Steel; Finish: Black Zinc; O.D.: 5 - 7/8”; Weight: 5.8 lbs; Rotating Weight: 3.8 lbs; Bore: 0.787”; Length: 1.62”; Safety: SFI Certified; Accessory Bolt Pattern: 1.810 center – 5/16 - 18 UNF 2.75. Application List: FA20 Engines: 2013 - 2017 Subaru BRZ, 2013 - 2016 Scion FR - S, 2013 - 2017 Toyota GT86, 2015+ Subaru WRX 2.0L, 2015+ Subaru Forester 2.0XT Premium and Touring Only; FB Engines: 2011+ Subaru Forester, 2012+ Subaru Legacy, 2012+ Subaru XV Crosstrek.

Using this Fluidampr performance damper is easy. Since it's a direct - bolt upgrade, you can simply replace your existing OEM elastomer harmonic balancer without any modifications. When installing, make sure to align it properly with the engine components. As for maintenance, this damper is maintenance - free, so you don't have to worry about regular servicing. However, it's a good idea to check for any signs of damage or wear every once in a while, especially after a long - distance drive or a high - performance race. If you notice any cracks, unusual noises, or other issues, it's best to have it inspected by a professional. When it comes to storage, keep it in a dry and clean place to prevent corrosion. Since it has a black zinc chromate finish, it's quite resistant to rust, but proper storage will still help extend its lifespan.
