Part #: WS02 - CBE - TI. Since 2002 when we first launched exhaust systems for the old 'bugeye' WRX, we've held back on Catback exhaust systems because of our unique downpipe rear flange. But with our new stock - replacement downpipes, we're now offering Catback Exhaust Systems. These work with our new downpipes, the stock one, or any other manufacturer's stock - replacement downpipes. A brand - new midpipe design pairs with our classic axle back mufflers to complete the Catback setup. Key features include: 3.0 - inch diameter 304 Stainless steel piping throughout. The WS02 - CBE uses our WS02 - RMA muffler with a 4 - inch polished double - walled tip for a low - key look. The WS02 - CBE - TI features our WS - RMA - TI Muffler with a 4.5 - inch blued single - walled tip for a bold JDM style. All are TIG welded and polished to a show - worthy finish. Note: If you're using a stock j pipe or downpipe, you'll need the GrimmSpeed Subaru Stock DP to Aftermarket 3 in. Catback Adapter p/n 077046.
Using this Turbo XS Cat - Back Exhaust is straightforward. First, you need to check if you're using a stock j pipe or downpipe. If so, install the GrimmSpeed adapter before fitting the exhaust. The exhaust is designed to work with different downpipes, so make sure it's well - connected to your chosen one. For maintenance, regularly inspect the 304 stainless steel piping for any signs of rust or damage. The polished finish can be kept clean with a mild metal cleaner. Also, check the TIG welds from time to time to ensure they're in good condition. If you notice any abnormal noises or performance issues, it's a good idea to have a professional take a look.
