The OLM V3 F1 Rear Brake Light Kit is a must - have for 2015 - 2021 Subaru WRX and STi owners. Since USDM vehicles don't come with a rear fog light from the factory, this kit is a great upgrade for your vehicle's rear lighting. It comes with all the necessary parts to install on a USDM vehicle. There are two modes you can easily switch from the driver seat. One mode makes the light blink 15 times each time you press the brake pedal, and the other is a traditional brake light. You can choose to buy it with or without the plug - n - play harness. This harness speeds up the installation process, especially since the stock wiring harness in the WRX/STI is hard to crimp due to the tight space. It also allows you to easily return your setup to stock if you want. The harness has OEM - style connectors on both ends, enabling in - line installation with the factory wiring. It has 3 extensions for connecting aftermarket fog/F1 lights: black for ground, red for parking/running light, and yellow for brake light.

Using the OLM V3 F1 Rear Brake Light Kit is easy. First, decide if you want to use the plug - n - play harness. If you do, it will speed up the installation. Just connect the harness to the factory wiring using the OEM - style connectors at both ends. Then, use the 3 extensions to connect the aftermarket fog/F1 lights. The black extension goes to the black wire on the F1 lamp for ground, the red one to the blue wire for parking/running light, and the yellow one to the red wire for brake light. To switch between the two modes, you can do it right from the driver seat. When you press the brake pedal, in one mode, the light will blink 15 times. In the other, it works like a regular brake light. As for maintenance, keep the light clean. Check the connections regularly to make sure they are secure. If you want to return your vehicle to its original setup, just remove the kit with the help of the plug - n - play harness.
