Then, cut out the inner outline of the template, which is the area you'll cut along on the bumper. The outer line on the template shows how much the duct will cover. The vent will overlap the cut area for a clean edge, so the inner cut doesn't need to be perfect. Mark the cut area with a marker, remove the template, and cut the hole. Put the template back on, but cut the paper back to the outside line. This helps you align and install the vent. Use panel bonder or 3M to attach the vent to the bumper, and repeat the process on the other side. As for maintenance, regularly clean the vents with a mild car cleaner to keep the paint and mesh grille in good condition. Be careful not to use abrasive materials that could scratch the paint.
