The ID1700x is the latest innovation from the collaboration between Injector Dynamics and Bosch Motorsport. It bridges the gap between the ID1300x and the ID2000. With corrosion-resistant internals, it's compatible with all known automotive fuels. A unique magnetic circuit, developed over a long time, makes it immune to voltage and pressure sensitivity issues that trouble other high-impedance, high-flow injectors. It performs great at high pressures common in today's automotive systems. The ID1700x is an all-fuel injector with very high flow rates. It's often used to deliver E85 to boosted engines or gasoline in extreme high-horsepower situations. Since these applications don't need extended linearity at low flow rates, this was given lower priority in the design. Part #: 1700.48.14.11.4. Features include a nominal flow rate of 1725cc/min at 3.0 Bar (43.5 psi) using Iso-Octane at 52 Degrees C (125 Degrees F), a maximum differential fuel pressure of 7.0 Bar (101.5 psi), fuel compatibility with methanol, ethanol, and all known hydrocarbon fuels, and a USCAR electrical connector. Benefits are compatibility with various fuels, no need for extended linearity at low flow rates, a narrow spray pattern for quick response and smooth running, direct fit for Dodge Neon and Caliber SRT - 4 without additional adapters (others need PnP adapter 91.2 or 91.3), and it can deliver perfect stoichiometric idle and cruise mixtures on E85 but not on gasoline like the ID2000.

Using the ID1700x injectors is quite straightforward. First, make sure your engine is turned off and cooled down. Check the fuel compatibility to ensure it matches your fuel type, which can be methanol, ethanol, or any known hydrocarbon fuel. If you have a Dodge Neon or Caliber SRT - 4, you can directly plug in the injectors. For other vehicles, you'll need to use either PnP adapter 91.2 or 91.3. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check for any signs of leakage around the injectors. Also, keep an eye on the fuel pressure to make sure it stays within the maximum differential fuel pressure of 7.0 Bar (101.5 psi). If you notice any performance issues like rough running or poor idle, it might be time to have the injectors inspected. Remember, these injectors work great with E85 for idle and cruise mixtures, but don't expect the same performance with gasoline.
