Design
Our testing led to clear design requirements. The MAF sensor needs protection from engine bay heat for accurate readings. The filter should be far from the ground to avoid water issues. The MAF sensor's position relative to the filter and air straightener should be like the OEM airbox for consistent airflow readings. The intake tube should be short with minimal bends to reduce restriction. The heatshield should seal the induction area from the hot engine bay to keep intake air cool. As for maintenance, the air filter is reusable. You should check it regularly, about once every few months or depending on your driving conditions.
