These seat bases are vehicle - specific and ensure a 100% bolt - in installation. The 600 Series Sparco seat base is made of 3/16' thick steel, providing a strong, flex - free mount. Besides the mounting holes for standard bolt - on installation, it has a wide metal platform. This allows for custom - mounting side mounts directly to the base (drilling needed), which is great for race vehicles aiming for the lowest seat position. The base comes with a black wrinkle powder - coated finish. To install a Sparco seat in your vehicle, per seat, you'll need: For bottom - mount street series seats: a 600 series seat base, a Track Set (#00493) for seat adjustment, and a Bottom Mount Hardware Kit (#50001). For side - mount competition series seats: a 600 series seat base, a Track Set (#00493), a Side Mount (steel #004902 or aluminum #600W), and a Side Mount Hardware Kit (#50002).
