Using the SMY IPF Fog Light Kit is a breeze. First, make sure your vehicle's engine is off and the battery is disconnected to avoid any electrical issues. Locate the area where your factory fog lights are installed and carefully remove them. Then, use the included CNC'd aluminum brackets and spacers to mount the new IPF fog lights in place. Secure them with the stainless steel washers and fasteners. Connect the H11 bulbs to the appropriate sockets. Once everything is installed, reconnect the battery and test the lights. Note that for 2014 - 2018 Forester and 2014 - 2018 Crosstrek models, you'll need to trim the brackets for a proper fit. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the bulbs to ensure they're working properly. If a bulb burns out, you can easily replace it with a new H11 12V 55W bulb. Keep the glass lens clean by using a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dirt and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they can scratch the lens. The brackets have a lifetime warranty, but remember that car accidents aren't covered.
