Part #: LSD 184 B. Cusco's performance limited - slip differentials offer multiple benefits. When turning, the inner driven wheel has less weight and may spin freely, which disrupts power delivery and upsets the car. An LSD makes the other wheel spin at the same rate, maximizing traction when accelerating out of a turn. During acceleration, a stock LSD might be too weak to lock both wheels, causing one to spin. Cusco's LSDs keep both wheels firmly locked, ensuring the car stays planted while you use all your power. Cusco offers two types of LSDs. The Type - RS uses springs to absorb some initial torque, providing a gentler engagement, smoother transitions, less chatter, longer life, and reduced oil - change frequency. The Type - MZ has no springs and engages more forcefully. You can adjust its sensitivity by changing the number of clutch plates, making it a cost - effective option. A 1 - Way LSD is great for FWD and AWD front axles. It activates only under acceleration, acting like an open diff when off the throttle for better traction during turning and braking. When you accelerate, it engages to deliver full power. Important Notes: Contact us for any questions about the differentials. If you need a specific differential setup not listed, get in touch. You can change the differential settings, but only during an overhaul after disassembly.

Using the Cusco Front Type MZ 1 - Way Limited - Slip Differential is easy. First, make sure it's properly installed in your Subaru STI from 2004 - 2021. When you're driving, during acceleration, the LSD will engage to give you maximum power and traction. When you take your foot off the throttle, it will act like an open differential, helping with turning and braking. For maintenance, keep an eye on the oil. The Type - RS model requires less frequent oil changes thanks to its spring design. If you want to adjust the sensitivity of the Type - MZ, you'll need to disassemble it during an overhaul. If you have any questions about the differential, don't hesitate to contact us. Also, if you're looking for a specific setup that's not available, just reach out and we'll try to help.
