Product Information

Part #: 632200CE-4. Our new Turbo Tuff lineup for EJ25 engines makes Manley, the top aftermarket Subaru piston company, even better. We've crafted the ultimate Subi piston by using design improvements from our 'Formula - Won' piston forging. This piston can handle high - boost and high - stress applications. It runs quietly and trouble - free for daily drivers. Like all Manley Subaru pistons, these are made of 2618 alloy, have an offset wrist pin design, a skirt coating, and come with a standard 2.500' x .180' wall premium chrome moly wrist pin (P/N 42346). You can also upgrade to 9310 alloy .210' wall pins. Order the EXTREME DUTY part number. These pistons come with 9310 pins (P/N 42546). Each set includes premium steel top rings, Napier style second rings, higher tension oil rings for great oil control, and round wire locks. Recommended clearance is .003' for mildly boosted and .0035' for highly boosted, measured .850' (79/83mm Strokes) and 1.100' (75mm Stroke) from the bottom of the oil ring groove. Manley Subaru EJ257 pistons now feature Napier style second rings and higher tension oil rings (by Total Seal) for excellent oil control.

Using these Manley pistons is straightforward. When installing, make sure to check the recommended clearance based on your engine's boost level. For mildly boosted engines, aim for a .003' clearance, and for highly boosted ones, go for .0035'. Measure this clearance at the specified distances from the bottom of the oil ring groove. As for maintenance, keep an eye on the oil control. The included high - tension oil rings and Napier style second rings help with this, but regular oil checks are still a must. If you notice any unusual noises or performance issues, it's a good idea to have the pistons inspected. And remember, if you want to upgrade the wrist pins, you can choose the 9310 alloy .210' wall option.
