Product Information

Part #: 314336. JE's piston and ring designs are expertly crafted for extreme uses, even professional competitions. In high - demand scenarios with high compression ratios, heavy boost, or lots of nitrous use, the 2618 aluminum alloy with high tensile strength is a must - have. Fitment: 1997 - 1999 SUBARU EJ25 DOHC. STD Bore: 99.5mm, Deck Clearance is '0', and Compression is calculated with a .054' Head Gasket. Features: No deburring or prep needed for dome/dish. Made of 2618 T6 high - tensile forged aluminum. Dome and dishes have smooth radii for great flame travel. Ring widths are 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.5mm. Comes with a .905 x 2.500 (Round Forging) and .905 x 2.250” (FSR Forging) straight - wall carbon steel wrist pin. Pin fitting and Tru - Arc locks are included. Package has 4 pistons and 4 rings.

Using this JE pistons and rings set is straightforward. First, make sure your 1997 - 1999 Subaru EJ25 DOHC engine is properly prepared and cleaned. Then, carefully install the pistons and rings according to the standard engine assembly procedures. Since the dome/dish doesn't need deburring or preparation, you can save some time during the installation. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the engine oil for any signs of metal particles which could indicate wear on the pistons or rings. Also, keep an eye on the engine's performance, such as power output and fuel efficiency. If you notice any drops, it might be time to inspect the pistons and rings. As for precautions, always follow the recommended torque settings when tightening the wrist pin and other components. Avoid over - revving the engine, especially during the break - in period, to ensure the longevity of the pistons and rings.
