Product Information
Fitment Information: This product is designed to fit 1992 - 2007 Subaru Impreza, WRX, and STI models. The Subaru Impreza is a top - notch performance car built for rallying, and it's also becoming increasingly popular for grip racing due to its excellent performance. Lowering the car can enhance grip and handling, but it messes up the factory - designed kinematics. Wisefab's uprights/knuckles for the Subaru Impreza bring the roll center, bumpsteer, anti - squat, and camber curve back to normal. This results in better roll stiffness, handling, and grip. Key Features: - It's 1 kg lighter than the OEM knuckle/upright while still having the necessary strength and stiffness. - It corrects the roll center with a 50mm drop from the knuckle/upright. - For 2000 - 2007 WRX/STI, a 72x42x52 wheel bearing is required. You can use either a 5x100 hub (28462FE001) or a 5x114.3 hub (28462FE011), both suitable for STI/WRX 72x42x52 wheel bearings. - The brake caliper tabs are moved to the upright/knuckle. In the OEM setup, the rear brake caliper attaches to the brakeshield, but Wisefab's solution gives the brake caliper higher stiffness. - The OEM handbrake can be used, but you need to remove the brake caliper tabs for clearance. - The traction link bushing is replaced with a CrMo spherical bearing. Kit Includes: The kit comes with left and right knuckles along with hardware, and an installation guide. Other Information: This kit assumes the use of coilovers for ride height correction, and you can still use the original wheel speed sensor.
Using your Wisefab Rear Drop Knuckles is straightforward. First, follow the installation guide that comes with the kit carefully. Make sure you have all the necessary tools and parts ready. When installing, pay close attention to the fitment details, especially when it comes to the wheel bearings and hubs. For 2000 - 2007 WRX/STI models, remember to use the 72x42x52 wheel bearing. You can choose between the 5x100 hub (28462FE001) or the 5x114.3 hub (28462FE011). If you're using the OEM handbrake, don't forget to remove the brake caliper tabs for clearance. As for maintenance, regularly check the knuckles and hardware for any signs of wear or damage. Keep them clean to prevent dirt and debris from affecting their performance. If you notice any unusual noises or handling issues, it's a good idea to have the knuckles inspected. Also, since this kit assumes the use of coilovers for ride height correction, make sure to maintain those as well. You can continue using the original wheel speed sensor, but check its connection periodically to ensure it's working properly.
