Product Information

Part #: PRW - PWTMIC05B - KIT. Our new top - mounted intercooler is the ultimate aftermarket choice for WRX/STi. We studied rival products and fixed their major flaws. Most competitors fail to provide proper ducting/shrouding for the larger intercooler. It's pointless to install a bigger intercooler without replacing the factory splitter/shroud. Our solution is a perfectly - sized splitter/shroud for the job. The Process West intercooler and splitter combo allows 100% ambient airflow over the entire 90mm (3.5in) thick core. This helps the intercooler work better, lowers outlet temperatures, and boosts power. The turbo compressor outlet to intercooler (Y - pipe) design in most aftermarket parts doesn't distribute charge air evenly. Our design is better. Includes: Intercooler, Duct, IC Hose. Due to design differences, the splitter fits 2004 - 2005 STi models, while the intercooler fits 2004 - 2007 models. Part Number: PWTMIC05.

Using the Process West Black Top - Mount Intercooler is straightforward. First, make sure to check if your Subaru STI is within the compatible model years (2004 - 2007 for the intercooler, 2004 - 2005 for the splitter). When installing, follow the included instructions carefully to ensure proper fitting of the intercooler, duct, and IC hose. As for the Y - pipe, pay attention to its connection to distribute the air evenly. During normal use, keep an eye on the outlet temperatures. If you notice a significant increase, it might be a sign that something is wrong. For maintenance, regularly check the connections of the intercooler and its components to ensure they are tight. Clean the intercooler core from time to time to remove any dirt or debris that could block the airflow. This will help maintain its performance and keep your engine running smoothly.
