Product Information

Part #: SUSH9. This one-piece driveshaft for Subaru is crafted from 6061-T6 3' aluminum. It's about half the weight of the factory two-piece driveshaft. The single aluminum shaft comes with larger, replaceable, and greaseable u-joints. It can handle around 650WHP and a top speed of 155 MPH. Replacing the factory two-piece shaft with this single one makes the car more responsive because of the lighter weight and the fact that the hanger bearing doesn't move up and down during acceleration. It's available for most popular motor/trans combinations. If yours isn't listed, custom shafts can be made. Please note: This driveshaft is rated for 650WHP and 155 MPH, not recommended for higher speeds. It has a 3' diameter, and your vehicle may need minor driveshaft tunnel modifications for proper fit. Ensure at least 3/4' clearance around the driveshaft before use, and check that the differential bushings aren't worn to prevent damage. Improper fitment damage isn't covered by the warranty. A new 2-3/4' diameter one-piece carbon-fiber driveshaft with no clearance issues or MPH restrictions is coming soon.

Using this driveshaft is straightforward. First, remove the factory two-piece driveshaft from your Subaru STI (2008 - 2014). Then, install the single-piece aluminum driveshaft. Remember, your vehicle might need some minor changes to the driveshaft tunnel to make it fit properly. Before you start using it, make sure there's at least 3/4' of space around the driveshaft. Also, check the differential bushings to see if they're worn out. If they are, it could damage the driveshaft. This driveshaft can handle up to 650WHP and a top speed of 155 MPH, so don't go beyond these limits. For maintenance, the u-joints are replaceable and greaseable. Regularly check the u-joints and give them a good greasing to keep the driveshaft in good condition. If you have any fitment problems, make sure to get them fixed right away, as damage from improper fit isn't covered by the warranty. Soon, a new carbon-fiber driveshaft will be available, which has no clearance or speed limit issues.
