Product Information

Part: # 85644. In factory vehicles, excess crankcase vapors, residual oil, and moisture are sent back into the intake manifold and crankcase ventilation system. This coats the pistons and other parts with an oil layer that can cause detonation, which is a big problem in turbocharged cars. Moroso's innovative 2 - tank system lets the factory crankcase ventilation work as it was intended - no other system on the market can do this. The billet aluminum bodies look great in any engine compartment and can be polished, chromed, or powder - coated for a custom touch. Each separator comes with a billet aluminum clamp, and you can unscrew the bottom to remove the collected oil. The kit includes stainless steel mounting brackets, 1/2' inlet and outlet fittings, and 3/8' and 1/2' diameter rubber hoses for inline plumbing of the air - oil separators. This product is for cars with a TMIC and stock - location turbo, not for use with a FMIC or rotated - mount turbo.

Using this Moroso air oil separator is easy. First, use the included stainless steel mounting brackets to install the separator in your engine compartment. Connect the 1/2' inlet and outlet fittings to the appropriate parts of your car's ventilation system using the 3/8' and 1/2' diameter rubber hoses. Make sure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. This product is designed for cars with a TMIC and stock - location turbo, so don't use it with a FMIC or rotated - mount turbo. To maintain it, regularly unscrew the bottom of the separator to remove the collected oil. You can also customize the look of the billet aluminum bodies by polishing, chroming, or powder - coating them as you like. Keep an eye on the overall condition of the separator and hoses, and replace any worn - out parts promptly.
