Product Information
Part #: 20 - 0207 - 02. High - powered modified Subaru engines often produce too much blow - by oil and gasses. A regular small catch can might not be enough as it can fill up quickly. The Radium Engineering AOS (Air Oil Separator) kit, similar to the Dual Catch Can Kit, keeps blow - by oil and pollutants out of the intake pipe, manifold, turbocharger, and intercooler under all engine loads. The great thing is that the AOS system returns the collected oil back to the oil pan, so no servicing is needed. It's made of three CNC - machined sections screwed together and sealed with O - rings. Measurements: AOS height is 6.94 inches (from the top of the dipstick to the bottom), diameter is 3.45 inches round, and capacity is 20.3 oz (600mL). Benefits include effectively raising octane and boosting engine performance with cleaner inlet air, preventing oil buildup in intake components, and reducing hydrocarbon emissions. What's included: a machined aluminum AOS, a specially designed mounting bracket, all necessary SAE J30R7 rated PCV/Emissions hoses, coolant hoses and fittings, all necessary aluminum fittings and hose - ends, and stainless steel mounting hardware. Mounting compatibility: 02 - 07 Impreza WRX, 02 - 07 Impreza WRX STi, 04 - 08 Forester XT, 05 - 06 Saab 9 - 2X Aero.
Using the Radium Engineering Air Oil Separator Kit is quite straightforward. First, find a suitable place to install the mounting bracket according to the vehicle models mentioned in the compatibility list. Then, attach the AOS to the bracket. Connect all the hoses and fittings properly as provided in the kit. Make sure to connect the coolant hoses and use the SAE J30R7 rated PCV/Emissions hoses for a secure and proper fit. As for maintenance, since the AOS system returns the collected oil back to the oil pan, there's no need for regular servicing. But it's a good idea to check the hoses and fittings periodically for any signs of wear or leaks. If you notice any issues, replace the affected parts right away. Also, keep an eye on the AOS capacity, although it's designed to handle a good amount of oil, extreme driving conditions might affect its performance.
