Product Information

These Manley Turbo Tuff Pro Series I Beam Connecting Rods are a top - notch choice for your Subaru. They fit 2002 - 2005 Subaru WRX and 2004 - 2021 Subaru STI models. Note: They work with an EJ255 engine only when paired with an aftermarket piston that doesn't need a tapered rod. Key features include being forged from 4340 aircraft - quality vacuum - degassed material. After machining, they're shot peened to MIL spec and 100% individually magnafluxed. These rods are built for high - horsepower applications with turbos and/or nitrous. The fasteners are 3/8' ARP 2000. They can handle a flywheel horsepower of 1,000+. They're suitable for Subaru EJ205 and EJ257 engines and are sold as a set of four. Specs: 5.216' center - to - center (0.079' / 2mm longer), 2.165' big end bore, 0.840' big end width, 0.9055' (23 mm) pin diameter, 0.9063' pin bore, and a gram weight of 605. Manley Pistons can be bought separately here at IIR.

Using these Manley connecting rods is simple. First, make sure your Subaru model is either a 2002 - 2005 WRX or a 2004 - 2021 STI. If you have an EJ255 engine, use an aftermarket piston that doesn't need a tapered rod. When installing, handle them carefully as they're precision - made. For maintenance, regularly check the fasteners to ensure they're tight. Keep the rods clean from dirt and debris. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, replace them right away. These rods are designed to handle high - horsepower, but don't push them beyond their 1,000+ flywheel horsepower limit. You can buy Manley Pistons separately to go with these rods for an even better performance.
