Using this Subaru engine oil maintenance kit is easy. First, make sure your car engine is cool. Then, locate the oil drain plug under the engine. Use a suitable tool to remove the old drain plug gasket and drain the old oil into a container. After draining, replace the old gasket with the Subaru OEM drain plug gasket included in the kit and tighten the drain plug. Next, find the oil filter. Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old filter and apply a bit of the Motul 5w30 oil on the rubber gasket of the new K&N oil filter. Screw the new filter in place. Finally, pour the Motul 5L synthetic engine oil 8100 5W30 X - Clean into the engine. Check the oil level with the dipstick. Remember to properly dispose of the old oil and filter. For best results, perform oil changes as recommended by your vehicle's manual.
