These seat bases are made specifically for your vehicle model and provide a 100% bolt - in installation. The 600 Series Sparco seat base is crafted from 3/16' thick steel, ensuring a strong and flex - free mount. Besides the mounting holes for standard bolt - on installation, it has a wide metal platform. This allows you to customize the installation by directly mounting side mounts to the base (drilling needed), which is ideal for race vehicles when you want the lowest seat position. The base comes with a black wrinkle powder - coated finish. To properly install a Sparco seat in your vehicle, for each seat, you'll need: For bottom - mount seats (Street Series Seats): a 600 series Seat Base, a Track Set (#00493 - it allows forward and backward seat adjustment), and a Bottom Mount Hardware Kit (#50001). For side - mount seats (Competition Series Seats): a 600 series Seat Base, a Track Set (#00493), a Side Mount (either steel #004902 or aluminum #600W), and a Side Mount Hardware Kit (#50002). Using your Sparco 600 Series Seat Base is easy. First, make sure you have all the necessary parts as mentioned in the product description. Find the factory seat mounts on your vehicle's floor and attach the seat base using the bolt - in installation method. If you're using a bottom - mount seat, connect it to the base with the bottom - mount hardware kit. For side - mount seats, you can either use the standard mounting holes or customize the installation by drilling holes on the wide metal platform for direct side - mount installation. When adjusting the seat position, use the track set to move the seat forward or backward. As for maintenance, keep the base clean by wiping it with a dry cloth regularly.
